Moldova allows the importation of only left-hand drive vehicles. Used vehicles above the age of 7 years are not allowed to ship in the country. Import rules and regulations-

Left-Hand Drive vehicles:-

Restriction:-
Importation of vehicles over seven years old is prohibited. Temporary import is for one year only and must be renewed. It can be extended each year along with the Residence Permit.

Import Tax Rate:-
Vehicles imported in the country are subjected to duties and taxes. Duty free import is allowed for temporary import only for one year. For temporary import of a personal automobile, the shipper must register the vehicle in the origin country and a fee of EUR 95 (approx.) is collected by the Customs office for a temporary import.
For Diplomats importing a vehicle in the country, the Accreditation Card from the Moldovan issued by Ministry of Foreign Affairs is required.
