• Check if the company is member of known auction houses and reputed exporters associations like JUMVEA, JETRO, Chambers of Commerce, this will be a plus point for trust and worthiness.
• Do not go for exporters who offer very low price for the vehicle as this could be a trap. Double check with other exporters before making any deal. Check the company more cautiously or buy from reliable exporter for little extra.
• Check if the company is paid member of popular used car portal sites.
• Order only one or few units when dealing for the first time.
• Thorough check of company’s website should be done. Importer should collect as much information as possible to check company’s legitimacy.
• Check the company´s terms and conditions, the purchase process and payment terms.
• Try to make payment in company´s bank account in Japan only. Avoid making payment in personal name or outside Japan bank account.
