Japan has a remarkable history that shows that revolution leads to the renaissance. This “land of Rising Sun” is famous for its values of perfection and creativity. Japanese are known for their enthusiasm for work. Every product by Japanese makers may it be electronic or automobiles truly express their talent. Japan as we all know, is the world’s major producer of cars. Japanese used vehicle makers with the latest technologies embedded in their cars prove that the road to innovation and development is never ending.

Japan debuted in the area of automobile industry with the launch of new small cars in Japan. These cars were fitted with very small engines (from 360cc to 600cc) which kept taxes very low as compared to large cars. Demand for cars, brought a boom in the Japan’s automobile market. Rapidly rising domestic demand and the expansion of Japanese car companies into foreign markets in the 1970s further accelerated the growth. Every year Japan witnesses many launches of new cars and other vehicles from top car makers Japanese and foreign too.


During the period of 1970s, and 1980s, popular Japanese brands i.e. Mitsubishi and Honda gained a major foothold in the US and other world markets. This period saw export of large numbers of Japanese vehicles. The reason that Japanese vehicles are reliable, safe and high on quality made them popular across the globe. With the starting of 2000, Japan became the largest car producing nation in the world. Even though Japan had strong competition from South Korea, China and India, the industry continued to thrive. During the first quarter of 2008, Japan’s top car maker Toyota surpassed American General Motors to become the world’s largest car manufacturer. Even Toyota’s corolla is still world’s most selling car.

Not only new vehicles, but Japanese used vehicles are also ruling the heart of millions from years. Huge numbers of Japanese used cars are exported every month from Japan to many countries like Kenya, South Africa, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Zambia, Dubai, South America etc.

The disaster of March 2011 affected Japan’s economy badly. But with the support of highly talented, dedicated and hardworking nationalist, Japan emerges out proudly from the calamity. The Japanese automobile industry is booming. It is world’s most renowned and largest automobile industry. A large portion of Japan’s economy is dependent upon automobile industry. Japanese automobile maker’s public reputation is so superb that whenever they deliver a vehicle, it instantly draws a crowd. There's no doubt that Japanese auto makers understand the taste of automobile buyers very well.
